A Halloween playdate can be small, friendly and easy to set up. Instead of planning a long party, try three short activities: a paper craft, a sticker story and a little projection-light game. This 30-minute plan gives children different ways to join in without needing a screen or a packed schedule.
Use the timings as a starting point. If the children love one activity, stay with it; if someone needs a break, leave space for that too.
Before your guests arrive: set up three simple spots
Clear a table for crafts, put sticker books on a second tray and choose a plain wall for the final game. Keep the walking route clear. You can run every activity at the same table if space is limited.
- Lay out a small selection of paper, appropriate scissors and glue.
- Give each child room to work and a place to keep their finished creation.
- Check the product packaging and instructions for age suitability before setting out any toys. An adult should supervise cutting and play with small battery-powered items.
Minutes 1–10: make a friendly Halloween paper scene
Start with an easy choice: a smiling pumpkin, a silly monster or a friendly ghost. Let children choose colors and arrange pieces before gluing. For beginners, an adult can prepare larger shapes so the child can focus on arranging and telling a story.
If you prefer a ready-made activity, the Halloween Craft & Play Duo pairs a Snip Snip! Halloween Fun kit with a reusable sticker pack. The craft kit includes an activity booklet, two scissors and a glue stick. Choose one activity rather than trying to finish the whole booklet during a playdate.

Minutes 11–20: tell a three-part sticker story
Keep the next activity simple with three prompts: Who is visiting? Where are they going? What happens next? Children can take turns adding a character or changing the scene. A story about a ghost looking for its lost hat works just as well as a pumpkin picnic.
The Craft & Play Duo's Happy Halloween sticker pack contains one Halloween book, one Ocean book and one Dinosaurs book. Use the Halloween book for the seasonal activity and save the other themes for another day. Sharing one book can work for a small group, but children may prefer their own workspaces.
Minutes 21–30: play “spot it and describe it”
Finish by projecting a Halloween pattern onto a plain wall. Ask children to describe a shape, invent a character name or make up one sentence about what they see. Keep enough room lighting for everyone to move comfortably, and direct the projection at the wall rather than at people.
For this activity, Cleanflick's finger projection lights include a Halloween set of four and a larger Halloween set of 40. Select the Halloween option on the product page; other seasonal combinations are also listed. Designs and colors are assorted.
Prefer one bundle for all three activities?
The Halloween Activity & Glow Box includes the Halloween cutting kit, the three-book Happy Halloween sticker pack and four Halloween finger projection lights with batteries included. It is an activity bundle, not a separate complete set for every guest.

End with a tiny show-and-tell
Invite each child to show one creation or share their favorite moment. Put finished crafts somewhere they can dry before going home. You do not need a prize for every game: choosing a character name or showing a picture can be part of the fun.
